Usually there is and artificial pitch at that stadium but they put grass just for that game. It wasn't there long enough to get very flat but I doubt that the pitch as much worse than the one at the bridge.

Agree with you on Ronaldo. The sight of him lynig flat on his stomach with face in arms not even watching the shootout is bizarre. I thought captain terrific would be the one who cant miss. If Drogba was playing, Terry may not even need to take a penalty and who knows what will have happened.

He will go to take the penalty, pretend to kick, goalkeeper dives one side, he shoots the other side. Cech scouted him well and Ronnie's trick backfired. But like the Nou Camp miss, it didnt screw Man U up.

Since Ronnie got 2 premiership, 1 Champs League, 1 League Cup and is it 1 FA Cup? Maybe he can make his 100 million move to Real Madrid. This will fulfill Laporta(?)'s promise to get Robben (done), Ronnie and Fabregas (still possible) to Real.

I really dislike the way ronaldo takes his pks, one of the first things i learnt when i was training at a club was to pick your spot and stick with it, ronaldo seems to rely very heavily on the goalkeepers reaction when he fakes his runup.

When cech didnt give him anything today, you could see him hesitating before taking the shot

And I think becks isnt a good penalty kick taker, hes a good player, just not a good pk taker. As is gerrard and many other great players

2 to Liverpool in Champ League semis - that was embarrassing.

3 to Man U at Charity Shield - that was even more embarassing, no one scored

For some reason, Fergie favours O'shea and Fletcher for big matches and at least O'shea when sub does deliver at times like getting all 3 points against Pool and Chelsea few seasons ago.

I would rate Park higher than Nani now although Nani's potential is greater.
