not to chav up the forum, but my friend asked me to try and track this sweater down for her, especially if i could grab it on the cheap from canal street. any ideas?

It's definitely fake, but I haven't seen the likes of it on Canal street. I think your best bet is either to ask to see more of the merchandise from one of the vendors hawking fake shit (most of their stock is usually in the back, to avoid police raids and seizures), or to check out vintage/consignment shops, since they tend to carry at least some interesting fake big label designer stuff.

My cousin got me a LV wallet after graduating from school. He didn't say a damn thing. I got it checked at South Coast LV after a year use and they said it was legit. Just found out a week ago he got it for $20.

To me personally the monogram craze hit backlash status a couple years ago. I see monogrammed handbags and I assume the owner is anything but wealthy. The opposite of what they want me to believe is true about them. Isnt it ironic?

haha the fake lv's are deep in thailand. my mom wanted to see how they were and she had an "in" from one of her friends- so we met at the location they told us to, got picked up in a car and were escorted to this huge house where there were video cameras everywhere. they would bring out super high quality fakes of any designer label imaginable (to me at the time- i was like 12)... i was just happy because they were giving me food and candy while my mom was looking at the bags haha.

It's still an open market sort of, you just have to look lost and someone will tap you on the shoulder, show you a photo book and walk to a accounting or law office supply closet to look at the merchandise.
