noobish stuff (yes i went through most of the denim encyclopedia)

hey well, im glad to have finally found a place hwere people obsess over denim as much as i do.....im like the only one i know here in south texas....anyways....heres the deal

up until now..i used to hate raw denim...i thought it sucked..only because i ddint know it could fade out all sick like ive seen on this site.....so until now ive bought jeans that are prewashed with fading and such.....so here are my questions

im assuming all of these washing, corn starching, soaking techniques only work for raw denim? as in, would i be able to make honey combs on some guess jeans that are faded but dont have honey combs?

ive heard boot cut jeans arent good for wearing- washing in....im particularly a boot cut/ sorta flared jeans fan.....are straight leg and tapered jeans better for the stuff here?

where can i get my hands on a pair of sugar canes/samurai jeans? (no i wont be going to japan any time soon, plane tickets cost a buttload)

im gonna post pics of my jeans and if you would please let me know if i can do anything with them....i obsess over jeans..like.....if finally found 4 pairs of jeans that are perfect in my likes...this took about 2 years of buying different jeans and selling the ones i didnt like.....

any jeans you all suggest me starting off with to learn how to wash, wear, soak and starch jeans to my liking?

ANY info would be great....ill post pics of my jeans tomorrow
