I vaugely remember this place being on Spring street - is it still there? Do they have a website? Sorry if this is too esoteric.

not sure what store you're referring to.

but Sugar Lee on 4th St antique/vintage row has some raw selvage Levis repro (called Evil) with bucklebacks selling for $95. supposedly the denim is made in Thailand on a Japanese shuttle loom machine. they're not bad...a bit loosely cut tho which throws me off. but i imagine these are great if yer a "bigger" boy esp since the waist sizes go up higher than "high end" selvage makers
