cleaning dunks..

my dunk SB's are pretty damn scuffed up.. in the past i have just given them a wipe but the suede is pretty dirty now.

other shoes i've thrown in the washing machine on gentle cycle and they've come out fine, i'm not sure with the dunks though, whether it'll fade the suede, ruin the insole, stitching etc..

help?

for a shoe to make it into production at Nike, it has to be able to withstand a spin in the washer... not sure about the color fading, but you don't have to worry about the stitching, etc.

what do you mean by a spin? as in the shoes are wet, then spun dry? or a full wash cycle?

if i had another pair i'd definately skate the hell out of them.. skated in them a coupla times, enjoyed it muchly. these are by FAR the comfiest shoes i've ever owned

for all suede shoes use the timberland suede cleaning bar/brush

if you think dunk sb's are the most comfortable shoes then your a victim of hype

haha what? when comparing the comfortability of my SB's, to all the other shoes i've ever owned, SB's sit way above the rest. when i'm trying on new shoes they feel like rocks on my feet.

It's true... Every Nike that makes its way to retail has to be able to survive

a full cycle wash in the machine. Bleeding included. So throw them in the wash,

take em out & pop in some shoe trees so that they'll dry & retain their shape

& get back to business...

you should try Callous... it feels like you're rocking a pair of pillow. as far as skating, I think E-cues are far more comfortable (and durable), full zoom insoles!

Yeah... In the "long run" but if his shoes are dogged?

Don't wash them more than once (maybe twice, after that chuck the things).

& remember to pop the insoles out with the laces, just

don't wash the insoles.

Throw 'em in the washer and leave them outside to dry. Get some white shoe polish or whatever color your shoes are, apply the polish with an old toothbrush, leave for a few minutes, wipe off with an old rag or t-shirt, then buff with a shammy and bam! good as new. don't worry about the threads, i've shitkicked my dunks in the washer and dryer for 4 years and they still look good.
