Not true. Back in the mid-1990s they were a reliable place to get good denim. £55 for a pair of one-wash ringspun jeans, plus back then we introduced a dry denim, they had some cool overdyes, and some great unwashed selvedge jeans too. Sadly the Diesel I used to work for doesn't seem to exist anymore.

If you buy diesels at anywhere but a clearance rack, you got boned. my pair cost me 60 bux. Surprisingly, it was also a tasteful wash. I got lucky on two counts.

they were 180 at nordstroms in 2005. not 200.

and 772s zathans; one of their most popular washes/styles so "nobody buys that wash anymore" is pretty invalid.

i work for diesel so you should probably trust me on this one. as for the price, 90% of the 772's still around now were produced before the price jump to $200 and still have the old tags. hell, some at my store still say $180 but they scan @ $220 when rang up. most department stores will honor whatever price is on the tag though.
