Shemagh type scarfs

I was wondering I really liked my Shemagh scarf but I wanted to know whether if there's anyone scarfs with that length and cut however plain or with a different pattern?.

i wasn't sure if i was thinking of the right kind of scarf so i did a google search for it, and there's a ton of places that sell them. also, urban carries 3 different designs.

I saw those shemaghs at urban and I was very close to buying one, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I got that one Ksilks scarf that has sort of a shemagh pattern. Anyone else got one who has an idea how to get this silver stuff out?

I don't want the pattern of a Shemagh scraf, I really want the length and cut of it?.

Any suggestions and online stockists besides from Urban that does European orders.

Urban outfitters has two scarves that are basically the same size and shape as a shemagh. One has a houndstooth pattern, the other is plaid. They dont list dimensions on the website, but trust me they are cut like gigantic squares.

so basically, any 42" x 42" piece of fabric... maybe a table cloth? there are a couple interesting patterns on ebay too

theres a turkish store here in chicago that makes someting similar.they are really large cut, and made out of viscose or pashmina.and have 3inch tassel type thins on either side.ill see if ican get some pics.and theyre only 40 bux,and incredibly soft.

Neighborhood makes a wool blend scarf that's a similar style, but with a pattern that's almost more like a bandana. It's soft and the quality is very good. I bought mine (in charcoal grey on black) in Kanazawa. It was about 15,000-en.

I bought 3 traditional khmer scarfs when I was in Cambodia last year... They're great, they've got them in every possible colour... Mine are red, dark red and blue. I think they're called kramas.

i sometimes wear one an ex left at my place and it looks like a shemagh, its just that i'm not too sure on the size and cut.. it looks the same when tied up.

i have a couple of shemagh scarfs and i was wearing one on the subway in toronto they other day and this young girl was sitting across from me staring me down for about 5 stops. she then gets up to get off at her stop and starts yellilng at me about how disrespectful my scarf is and how by wearing it i a mocking the strugles of the palestinian people. i told her i just liked the scarf and it had no political or cultural meaning to me, but that wasn't a good enough answer for her and she yelled that i should go home and look up what wearing a scarf like that meant on the internet.

the worst part about it was that she flustered me so much that i didn't realise the stop she was getting off at was also my stop. so not only did i get yelled at i missed my stop and was late for work!
