anyone ever purchase a pair of fake genius denim? if so, how was it?

their stuff from 6-8 years ago was really solid...I still have a pair of their denim with a target on the rear right pocket (from before paul smith sued for copyright infringement).

their newer stuff has variable quality in my opinion. some of it I've handled feels pretty shoddy, but the higher end stuff (gold patches, cashmere detailing) is much nicer. Also they do some nice collaborations with oki-ni (even selvage at one point).

I got some bootcut jeans about a year ago. Compared to some of the other high-end, made in Italy types, I must say I've been very satisfied. The cut and quality of the denim are very, very nice. They've got to be some of the most comfortable jeans I own. Price was around $250 if I recall, which isn't cheap but not exorbitant.

Some of their designs can be a bit much, but the pair I got came with a wallet chain and a light cross coloration on the back. I'd go for it.
