My new years party has a 'formal' theme

UGH!

I just found out that my new years party has been turned into a formal. This sucks because of two reasons: 1) I don't have a suit, dress pants, dress shoes, or anything (I'm at my parents' house), and 2) It's NEW YEARS!! We're getting sloppy drunk so there's no way I'm 'borrowing' my brother's Armani or Boss suit(s).

My question is, what is formal to you? Can you wear chucks and still look formal? Keep in mind that we're all 20 year olds so it's not like anything is coming through with a tuxedo or anything. I just want to get away with the least formal, yet formal-ish looking outfit as possible. Originally, I was going to wear one of those t-shirts with the shirt and tie screenprint on the front but that's SO beyond cliche, it's not even funny.

So what do you guys think?
