Anyone see the Fountain yet?

I'm stunned but this movie slipped under my net while I was travelling and I only just discovered it tonight. I've ordered it right away, but does anyone who's seen it have any positive or negative opinions to share about it?

The movie is great... personally, I loved the film, but I guess the plot and idea behind the characters struck a chord with me. Otherwise, it's some convoluted sci-fi love flick...

I didn't dig it either. Maybe it's because I was expecting much more to the plot but it never delivered.

I like the book a lot but the movie is a total piece of crap. I was forcing myself to finish it.

contrary to popular opinion i thoroughly enjoyed it, hugh jackman was good and i really liked the plot

i loved pi and that was all i had seen of his work before fountain.

and i was pretty shocked with what i got with fountain. way too many totally extraneous effects and visual mindfucks that took away from the presentation of the main idea. walking out of the theatre, few people i was with could really explain what the movie was about, which leads me to think that there was wayyy to much money put into it that obscured the plot. the plot seemed good enough for me though, conquistadors=fucking badass. curing cancer=moderately badass. space bubbles=ehhhhh a bit much for me. i would like to read the book though.

I liked it. Wasn't the best movie ever, but defnitely worth seeing. The storyline is simple and pretty to-the-point, the graphics are amazing and the cinematography is pretty cool. It's slow, but worth a watch for sure.
