APC Suits

So, there has been some discussion of suits here, and people have mentioned APC suits, but I've got some questions.

I'm looking for a suit. I want something simple, black and slim. Also looking for a jacket and pants that could be worn separately.

I'm thinking of APC because I could get one very cheap when they have their sale in January, and I like the look. (I haven't tried one on yet, and obviously the fit will be the main selling point, but I'm just doing a little early research.)

Any thoughts on APC suits? Jackets? Pants? In terms of quality, construction, style? What are some other similar suits in terms of style and price?

No experince in wearing one other then the two minutes that i walked around in a jacket inside the NYC store.

Cut was good, nice and slim. Quality felt on point for the price.

Id say go for it.

i liked the cut + quality for the price as carl said. one question: does the sale apply to stockists of apc or just the apc stores?

Don't wait for an APC sale in January; you've got Black Friday in NYC coming up. I am sure you can get some amazing deals on suits that are of vastly superior quality in the same price range....

Not sure your price range, but I've had great success with Reiss. About $600-900, I believe. Very slim cut (but not extreme a la Hedi), very good quality for the price point.

For anyone in NYC, APC is having a warehouse sale (up to 80% off) at 33 Grand St in Williamsburg this Fri to Sunday. If they have some suits for dirt cheap I may pick up one or two but agree that for the retail price, there are better choices out there.

Yeah, I didn't even think of that, you're right. I'm not really even sure where to look though.

I try to avoid department stores all together, they give me headaches. I'm sure Bloomingdales, Saks, Barneys, etc. But will there be anything there in the APC price range, i.e. ~$600 (or on sale for ~$300)? I really fucking hate those places.

Where else?
