JAKE in chicago, good spot?

i just moved to chicago a few months ago from Los Angeles and was wondering about this particular store. Decent selection and prices for jeans? I just wanna know before i make the rain ride down there.

I wasn't really impressed by the store I visited. You're much better off going to Barneys/H&M in that area and maybe trying the YSL store as well, but my tastes may just be a bit diff than the average Jake consumer.

they have a small selection of trovata, nudie, and other items you can find at other stores. barneys located near jake had an amazing selection.

their coop is ginormous.

also, they carry DIOR JEANS.

the only shitty thing about shopping in chicago is that the sales tax is 9%.

id rather order from barneys in boston. they ship

i agree with everything said before. Although, I'd like to add that untitled is worth going to depending on what your looking for, they have tsubi,nudie,JL,maharishi and some other dope brands,definitely cooler stuff for women though.

Jake has an ok selection if you're over 30 waist, they don't stock anything below. The Barneys next door has a selection at least five times the size with smaller sizes for a lot of brands, too. Also, Herpsky, they've only had w36+ for their Dior stock for months now. I'm not sure if they plan to restock them anytime relatively soon.

jake sucks. same crap Barney's sells. Check out north avenue area and hit up Akira, Untitled, Hejfina, St. Alfred and maybe even the new Scoop that opened.

yeah, when i was living in chicago last year i went to check out that store.

they have the worst service i've ever experienced. and, even though they do have some quality stock, it's not worth putting up with that kind of attitude.

i thought those dudes were great... good service while i was there and way laid back when i saw them at this puma velocity afterparty. way slow on answering their email, but worked out a phone order for me.

waste of time. actually for the most part shopping in chicago is waste of time besides maybe barneys/bloomingdales/diesel

save your money for when you go abroad. fashion in chicago is too cookie cutter.
