Why do people think you are gay if you are fashion-forward? I find it quite ironic how people think all gays are obsessed with fashion, and all straight guys that are into fashion are actually gay.

I think what's even more amusing is how the "fashion forward" metro-sexual whatevers managed to pick up on the single two worst "gay" fashion statements: slim-thigh bootcut jeans and those fucking floral print shirts rather than picking up on what would have really helped more people: just looking better in general.

That is, getting your clothes tailored and fitted, taking better care of hygiene, etc... at least, that's what I picked up from my gay friends. Even if they aren't terribly much more fashion forward than anything else they take care of themselves better and even when wearing the same thing as everyone else make sure it's fitted nicely.

While these aren't inherently "gay" things, I believe it was the Male Makeover Television movement that brought it into vogue, I suppose. Whatever.
