Picking out a winter coat is so much effort.

tell me about it. I've been on the hunt for awhile, I might just buy two cuz I can't decide.

How are the Fillipa K coats in terms of value btw? I know that some of their items are meant to be overpriced - is that true of the coats?

The ones that fit me a little better were the wool and the melton ones iirc and they were both ~£300.

i tried that on at reborn. it's pretty dope. i really like the wool version that they have on tres bien. the pictures on tres bien suck though. they are clearly trying to hide how it actually fits.

Could get one of those Inapt pea coats that were floating around a while ago, but I'm doubtful it'd cut it for a Toronto winter.

theyre pretty hard to find anyways... i have one and its definitely not made for a real hard winter... plus no matter what size you get its still really skinny and you cant wear much underneath it. awesome coat for mediocre weather though

Tried out the H&M ones recently, didn't like them very much. The JCrew one looks much nicer from the pictures.

I'm going to sell my vintage US Navy Peacoat soon.

I'm not sure when it's from exactly. I think it's from the 50's. Definitely post WWII.

It's made of Kersey wool, not melton wool like today's issues, so it's warmer.
