i'm selling this H&M black fitted cotton peacoat from last season. it was pricier than the usual H&M offerings and the quality reflects that...lots of great details: epaulets, a belt (VERY unusual for pea coats, but this looks great) and chest pockets.

the belt is unusual for pea coats because it isn't a pea coat. it's a trench.

but im interested, is it as shiny as it looks in the pictures?

see, i'd agree with you, except it's too short to be a trenchcoat...and has two columns of buttons in front.

trench coats can be any length, and most of them are double-breasted. they have shoulder straps and belts because they were originally made as military overcoats.

pea coats, however, never have shoulder straps or belts, because they are not designed for the military, they are designed for the navy.
