Hey guys, any hk denim heads out there?? i was wondering if any one knows whether the hk DH store stock raw denim? (cost most hk ppl are washed lovers, no one cares about the raw...) and if they do so, how much? italian or japanese? thx heaps, cheers!

I have never been yet, but I think hk ppl (who loves following alot of the japanese trends) will love raw denim too, so my bet is that they will stock raw.

I was there last Saturday. They had 2 raw models, Japanese 19cm, both in very light denim. One was selvage for 2,950HKD and the other one was stretch denim, extremely slim model, for 2,450HKD. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they told me jeans in usual raw denim will be available later this autumn and will cost less than those "special" jeans that I just mentioned.

Any idea whether Dior Homme would be having a long drawn end of season sale?

Did you compare prices with Joyce? Since Joyce is carrying DH, I realise their prices have been more competitive. Also the Joyce card gives you an additional 10% off normal priced product which DH does nt have.

No I did not compare prices with Joyce, but they told me in DH store they should more or less the same. T-shits were on the 1,100 - 1,200HKD level. When they get a stock of "brute" raw jeans later then I will go to Joyce as well to compare prices.

Hi! I did compare and Joyce was slightly cheaper for some and same for others. But Joyce have a further 10% using the Joyce card but DH's selection is better.

The sales people in Joyce told me that due to DH opening, they have to reduce their prices. When I compared their prices, it was true. The Dior Homme T I got from Joyce for the previous season was 1400 made in Portugal I think. The new Dior Homme T this season is about 1200, I think and made in Italy.

DH must be real popular because all the large sizes for their T is reserved even though the new season just started.

Maybe you can pal-ly up with DH's staff and ask them when is theie sale?

I do not have Joyce card but one of my mates does, so thanks for the tip. So, i did not get DH jeans this time but after trying selvage 19cm I went to APC in Silvercord and got me raw cures for 999HK. They fit almost identical on me.

I will probably be popping into DH each time I am in TST, which happens not too often as I really hate to leave HK island without really good reason, so if I find out something about the sale I will blow the wistle here.

Those seem to be pretty fair prices for Dior down there. Any specific time when they're getting those Brut jeans in?

Are these ultra-slim stretch jeans the infamous 17cm hem model we've been hearing about but haven't seen?

I assume fall/winter end of season sales in HK are in January?

Hi! I think their sale should be after Chinese New Year which falls in Jan 2007 I think. Anyway you shouldnt go immdiately after CNY because most shops are closed for a few days immediatelt after CNY.

I tried both stretch and rigid/selvage in my usual size and those with stretch looked like leggins on me while rigid ones fitted great. The hem was no more than 17cm, that's for sure.

Yes, you are right, real sales (50% and more off) usually start in January.

b. So when do the actual sale start ie the 30% off ones? Is it after CNY? Gotta book my air tickets you know.

Usually I go there to APC store if the shop in Causeway Bay does not have what i want in my size. IT outlet is really worth visiting twice a year, right after the end of the season's sale.

Hi there, with regards to yr first question I think Dior Homme is releasing a kind of black shiny denim (not sure if they are raw or overdyed) but you can actually view them on Japan Y!

Nope the one I saw was blue denim. It was 100% cotton and normal washing instructions. I was wondering to myself if I washed it normally, would the shiny thing fade away?

Anyway, what is Japan Y? Black shiny denim sounds interesting. From afar can even pass off as leather pants!
