Levi's Vintage 1947 501s "Charlie" - Fall 2005 Collection

So I recently bought a pair of the above Levi's from a local boutique. They were 275 dollar threads that i got for 25 bucks. Once again, this is a very nice, expensive boutique here in Austin called By George; it's not an outlet.

So I got these jeans and i've noticed that the left leg's inseam seems to bend towards the back of my leg, whereas the right leg is straight down. In other words, while on the right side, the seams go are balanced on both sides, the left side has the outer seam towards the front of my leg and the inner seam towards the back.

It would seem this means their irregular. But since I got them from a boutique and because their supposed to be duplicates of actual vintage pants, maybe that's intended.

It's a stupid thing to worry about, but I'm anal retentive about this shit and I know that some of y'all are the same.

Anyone got answer? Are these jeans fucked up?

not irregular. this is a trademark of unsanforized jeans (which these 1947 repros are). Perfectly normal.

Try searching for leg twist and unsanforized for more info, I'm bad at explaining it

yeah, its normal. twisted seams it sounds like.

The seams are supposed to be twisted like that.

The "charlie" wash is actually pretty nice. I bought them back in june from levis online store, but I forgot to size up to allow for the shrinkage. So I had to return them...but damn, $25 is one hell of a good deal for LVC!!!!!

so just to clarify, it's normal for the left leg to have a twist and the right leg to be relatively straight?

i'm having trouble finding a definition of unsanforized, but it sounds interesting.

they ended their sale but when i went there the owner, whose an incredibly nice man, pulled out 2 boxes of jeans from the back and let me rifle. i don't know if he does this for everyone, but to answer your question, i think there was a pair that was either 32x34 or 34x34, taking into account that because of being the Vintage series, they're quite smaller than that. I'm a 30-31 waist, and i got the 36x38, so i can cuff them (i'm 6'2"). There were also so worker-style Rogans for like 40 bucks and a few other things. It's the By George on 6th and Lamar.
