Union Dry Goods has been so lucky to be instructed by our customer to sell on behalf of him this original 1940's A2 Horsehide Flight Jacket from J.A.Dubow Mfg. Co. of Chicago, Illinois.

It is a very solid authentic vintage jacket with a size between Men's 38 to 40. While the specification tag has been removed, it belongs most likely to the Order Number W535AC27798.

The horsehide leather front is keep with good shape, solid and supple. The light abrasion and natural wear does not affect a penny of its attractiveness. The collar and front pocket flaps are very the unique sharp pointed shape which are characters authentic A2 possesses.

Mothing is observed at knits and it's an integral part of the history. It would be easily replaced with new knits and waistbands but for collectors, this historical mark is something desirable. There is wear and tear in the lining near the collar and the back of the left pocket.

The Jacket is numbered "A6939" and named "McKenna", probably the name of the pilot who owned it during the 1940's. Metallic hardware like the collar hook, snaps and zipper are in general functioning well. Stitching is also properly maintained.

To conclude, this A2 Flight Jacket has an excellent vintage condition given its age over 70 years' old. With a bit of repair in knits and lining which seems to be a simple task with any local tailor, it will become a very beautiful military masterpiece again!

Can't really tell you how long you'll be waiting for should this item gone.
