How much will unwashed Okinawa's stretch?

I'm trying to get my correct size for Sugar Cane Okinawa's. I assume they'll stretch a bit so should I go with the size that I can barely button?

i'm afraid i can't give you a mathematical answer ("blank size will stretch to blank size") but my pair did not stretch all that much compared to other brands.

not looking for a precise measurement, just want to know if i should buy the size that i can barely get on (like most selvage denim)....so you're saying buy the size that fits initially and not go for the tight one???

I don't own the okinawa's, but I do own the one-wash edo ai cinch back jeans. I think in general if you buy your actual waist size you will be o.k., and you could even size down one and it will stretch out no problem.

yeah, you could buy one size down and still be alright.
