triple 5 soul

a rip off of 55dsl? no way, at least not to me...at all

i for one have a huge love for triple five soul, as it being still one of my favorite brands. sometimes they can over price their stuff and sometimes they slip off, like that one season where they made that tee that said "i went to prom with your mom" i was like wtf is this crap. but if you're a real fan, you know the history behind it, being an underground hip-hop/b-boy/skate brand in NYC. i can say they did lose a lot of their crediblilty, but i still support them fully.

back in the day 555 soul was on top of their game with their hoodies and jackets, i'm talkin 2001-2003, that era of 555 soul was so good, cuz they werent blown up quite like they are now. that's what mainly 555 soul was known for, their hoodies, but now they've evolved into more of like punk-emo type of brand in a way. their jackets have a vintage cut and their hoodies are sort of on the punk-emo side too. and what really bugs me is that sometimes they switch up their style of fitting, some items are slim and sometimes they put out stuff that are true to size. they should stick with the slim and fitted styles. but overall, i'll always support tri five, as it is more of a lifestyle to the real fans.

btw, if anyone has the black/purple tattoo hoodie in size XL let me know, or even the grey/black one. it's also called the all-american hoodie at some places. and if you guys have other old triple five soul tees, hoodies or jackets or anything let me know, thanks.

I really don't understand how u can say that triple 5 soul ripoff 55dsl...

Right now im not feelin that much love for the brand at all, but a couple years back before Camella Ehlke leaved it was the shit! Especially their hoodies. My first tripel 5 soul hoody is from the late 90's and the quality is just amazing... here in europe people who wears the new line are often the emo/punk/mainstream-guys-wanna-be-cool types and before it was more for the hiphop/skater scene...

been around for a minute.. never copped anything, but thats because that female (I dont remeber her name, but she owns/owned t5s) was a real bitch when it came to the trade shows... to over protective -and loud about it!! yellin' at cats and the whole 9! I remember when they did the transformable book bags to seats, and she ran a asian cat away from the booth!! -me and my boy almost died!!

I think 555 soul was bought by Boxfresh out of the UK a few years back. I could be wrong though. I think that would explain the changes in the line. I really loved 555 soul 2000-2003 but im not really feeling it these days. Their bags are great.

triple five soul was the shit circa 2000 or thereabouts in NYC, at least at my high school, and i was still wearing some of their sweatshirts until recently. my biggest complaint was that all of their clothing for girls was sized ridiculously small--i am tall but slim and even their XL stuff was usually too small for me.

I really liked this brand for a couple of years between about 2001 - 2003. Still have a couple of hoodies and tees in the back of the wardrobe somewhere but I dont wear it any more, no reason, just grew out of it. I definately think it's a teen skater thing.

Only the cheap skate shops in Edinburgh stock 555
