can't really help too much w/ shops but i do remember a sneaker shop kinda near the water...

that probably didn't help. but hey, if you've never been to barcelona you MUST check out ALL things Gaudi.

Thats one of the things Im really looking forward to, especially the sagrada familia

There's two El Corte Ingles department stores on/near Las Ramblas that are good starting points. There are tons of shops along Las Ramblas and the other major street parallel to it. Everything from big names to smaller European boutiques.

barcelona is my favorite city in europe after london.

ahhh la sagrada familia... i remeber squeezing all the way to the top of one of those pillars with a full backpack last year. NOT FOR THE CLAUSTROPHOBIC.

theres a pretty good restaraunt not too far from Las Ramblas. it called MI BURRITO Y YO
