Yeah such confusing dress code terms, there's even smart casual, I mean wth is that? Just wear comfortable clothes, be non-chalant. If you feel you're to overdressed then remove an article when your there. Like wear a t-shirt inside your unbottoned button down. Or tuck out and hide that belt. Fold your longsleeves or mess your hair. It's a dinner after all, it's harder if your underdressed.
