FS: Visvim Serra US9

Hey,

Up for sale is a pair of Visvim Serra Hiker Size US 9 in Tan Suede. These were purchased in the summer of 2008 in the FIL Hong Kong. Never fit correctly but in my eagerness to buy some Visvim I bought them anyways. Worn twice, and kept in storage they are in almost brand new condition. Just a bit of indigo bleeding on the top of the tongue, not noticeable when wearing pants.

Retailed for $450. Yours for $300.

Includes dust bag and extra pair of laces.

With all due respect, judging by your pictures I wouldn't say these are "in almost brand new condition".

And looking it at the wear of your soles I also wouldn't say these have been worn twice…

Please make sure you don't have misleading descriptions in your sales threads.

Ok so where do I start cotton duck. I have sold over 80+ things on eBay and Sufu over the last few years and never had a sinle complaint about misrepresenting a used item. When I say in almost brand new condition, I truly mean it while considering they have been used in the streets in NYC, they look in great condition and feel unused. When I say worn twice, it's true because I gave them two shots and I gave up after the second try. The "wear" on the soles is dust from not properly boxing the shoes the first few months after abandoning them. When I get home from work I will wipe it off and retake pics and it will be painfully obvious you are wrong.

And next time you try to bash someones sale thread, send them a PM. Bashing my thread tries to make me look like an asshole while only showing you're the real asshole. Oh and that's all said with all due respect.

As a mod I was merely pointing out that to the benefit of the overall quality of the Supermarket it helps that you are as accurate as possible with both your descriptions and your photos. Perhaps using the word misleading was a bit heavy, for which apologies.

However, while you say that these shoes are almost brand new, in your pictures they appear to be pretty scuffed up all over (in your defense this does happen quite quick with nubuck) added to that I can spot quite some stains on them.

Perhaps I was mistaken about the soles, but again, from the pictures it does not look as if its only dust but they actually look worn down. This is exactly why it is important to take pictures that are representative of the state the item is in.

From this bit of your reply it seems as if you believe that if shoes have been used in New York it would somehow be ok for them to be less "brand new" looking as shoes that might have been used somewhere else. But that they would still deserve the description "almost brand new".

I would think that "almost brand new" means 9/10 ie. just a little bit more used than when actually brand new.

There is only one kind of "almost brand new", which is when the items is almost brand new!

I'll be looking forward to your new pictures. And if they prove me wrong (thus make me look like an asshole) I will make sure that this whole discussion gets deleted and you can continue using supermarket unhindered as your own personal (and may I add FREE) ebay.

Based on the fact that your activity on this forum is practically only in supermarket I expect you to be fully aware of the supermarket rules, especially the rules regarding accurate descriptions.
