Need Levis LVC ID HELP from you gurus...

Hello,

I tried to capture as much info as I could here. Now I'm slightly Levi-educated, but also overwhelmed! I'm wondering if anyone can help. Stats:

<ul>[*] Pliable leather tag w/soft surface[*]Every Garment Guaranteed[*]Lot S501XX (W34 L36)[*]Selvage: exterior leg seams & watch pocket[*]Hidden Rivets[*]NO Rivets: watch pocket & crotch[*]Silver leaf donut top button, plain (front & back) silver donut fly buttons[*]LS & CO SF on inside copper rivets but copper front pocket rivets have no writing on exterior, visible side[*]555 Behind top button (Valencia)[*] Silver thread inside label (Valencia)[*]Product Code 445010117 (and: 103 MADE IN U.S.A. WPL 423 555 0402[*]Other side: (NO BATWING), "WASH INSIDE OUT BEFORE WEAR. WASH AND DRY SEPARATELY. COLOUR WILL TRANSFER WHEN DAMP. WIDTH LENGTH SHRINKAGE APPROX 10%" [*]Bottom Right Corner of Care Label: "LVCD-1N" [*]Single stitching around top waist, single stitching at exterior rear pockets[*]Visible amber stitching crossing inside, behind watch pocket

What can anyone tell me about them? What is Product Code significance? Though they fit me, (I'm tempted to keep them), what is a fair price to ask, top and bottom dollar?

Another pair, (not a repro) maybe from 70s...

<ul>[*]Stiff paper tag, SF CA, 501 W27 L30[*]501 behind top button[*]No selvaging anywhere[*]LS & CO SF on front, exposed copper side of watch pocket rivets

[*]LS & CO SF on rear, inside SILVER-colored side of rivets[*]paper care tag, just below left pocket at outer seam w/Batwing[*]Product code, at top: 8688C 41 (then wash instructions); below: 501 019 42183-4 00501 - 0115.

Same qs for these. I have photos if necessary. Too tired to name/upload them right now. I'd appreciate any info/fyi's. Thanks. :o)

The first pair sound like LVC 44 repros. Although they would normally have patterned front pocket linings (stripes, paisley etc) and printed - not stitched - patterns on the back pocket.

These have a fair value as they were made in S/F, if new with tags they would fetch around $200, if pretty much unworn should get close to that. Are they unwashed/

Not sure what date other pair are, but they're not particularly valuable.

the pair that have the tag inside with the batwing are mid 80s or later.

If you've lost your faith in superfuture, Oh the end won't be long

Because if it's gone for you then I too may lose it, And that would be wrong

I've tried so hard to keep myself from falling

Back into my bad old ways

And it chars my heart to always hear you calling

Calling for the good old days

Because there were no good old days

These are the good old days

Thanks for your help... the older, non-repros, I didn't think were of value, but wasn't sure because the care tag is the old-school paper tag in the leg (as in 70s-80s).

I forgot to mention, the LVC's inside front pockets are white, not a design. There is very faint painted arcuate "stitching" on the back pockets, only visible if you're reeeeaaaalllly searching and with good vision! ALSO, NOT unworn. Right knee and left thigh are ripped and the front, right pocket has denim detatched/ripped from the white pocket. It looks deliberate as the indigo is still deep elsewhere. In other words, the rips don't match the condition of the rest of the pants.... if someone really wore them out like that, with that fraying, the pants would be lighter elsewhere., I would think. Make sense? Going to post the photos now.... THANK YOU BOTH FOR YOUR INPUT THUS FAR!

id have to agree with that. the jeans im wearing right now have 501-0117 on the tag, and the seams are twisted 90 degrees, so they were stf. (mine are not repros, but lvc uses the same system as the originals, adding the year to the front)

shit...
