I'm curious as to which variation: 90/10 cotton/silk blend, or the 'cotton coated in silk' blend (whatever that means)? They're cut pretty much the same as the classic 5 pocket, though they run a bit slimmer and lower in the waist (could be the lack of give in the fabric). Nice stuff, I have one of each variation in my closet. The fabric in each is amazing. Compared to the LWCF cut, they are a straighter leg, and they sit higher in the waist, maybe about 1/2 inch or so.

Also, do note that they are dry-clean ONLY (they will shrink a good size+ if you wash them), and do not expect them to stretch out or break in much, if at all (at least not in my experience). They aren't particularly forgiving., but they last extremely well. Mine look pretty much the same as when I bought them, and I've had one of the pairs for about 4 years.

No, they just sit higher up on your waist. IIRC, the LWCF sits right on your hips, very low. The cotton/silk jeans' waistband, by comparision sits right above/atop your hip bones. Do note that if you have extra 'meat' in that spot, compared to the width of your hips, the silk denim jeans are not going to make much in the way of accomodations. :P
