Problem with leather shoes digging into my heel...

Recommended Posts

Keep a bandaid where the heel is rubbing while you wear the shoes. You could put a bandaid on the spot of the shoe which rubs against your heel as well. I've done both of these for different pairs of shoes and both work nicely. Eventually the heel should wear down enough for it to not bother you anymore.

My mom always also recommended to me to put some kind of slight cushion thing on the bottom of the shoe so that your heel is lifted slightly, avoiding the spot that rubs. Of course I like to just get used to the problem/wear in the shoes so I never tried this method.

A trick that works extremely well, I've used it in my soccer-boots, is to put vasoline in the heel of your shoes. Just put it on inside the heel the first times you use the shoe and then everything should be fine. Dont know if you want to do this if the shoes are very expensive though.

I aint gotta get money man money get me

a shoe repair place will line the trouble spots with moleskin for very little money.

FWIW, i disagree with Miza, for once. My Camper Pelotas were extremely uncomfortable until I broke them in. Now they are my most comfortable shoes. Same goes for cowboy boots.

Using chain stitch, your train of jeans is fading wind.

IN the military we used to wear a pair of thin silky or or polyester dress socks under our cotton socks until our boots broke in. The theory being that the cotton would slide against the silk or polyester socks and create less friction on your heels. Maybe this in conjunction with the other methods mentioned would help relieve your misery. Shoes that hurt are very debilatating.
