Is it better to hang or to fold your knitwear?

I've got alot of Martin Margiela knitwear and i've always folded it, but ive started hanging one piece because its creases like a bitch! Im starting to think would it do any harm hanging all of it? Since they hang it in the shops? Im not talking about heavy knitwear, just lightweight jumpers and cardigans.

What are your thoughts?

Shops usually hang everything, including heavy knits and leathers so you can't really base your decision on that. If the piece(s) creases easily, then it's definitely light enough to be hung. The only worry is some hangers can cause the shoulders of a garment to stretch oddly (which can usually be fixed by washing it if it isn't a heavy knit/leather, but it's a bit of a pain). If you have softer hangers or the ones that aren't so wide, you probably won't have to worry about anything.
