Right, so I'm off to Namibia

I'm off to Namibia for three months in hopefully about a week. I'm going to a town called Swakopmund to work for this charity called the DRC Project (teaching in a township) but have been advised that I should be living in the proper town, rather than the shanty town, and commute to work every day.

Has anyone here ever been to Swakopmund and can suggest somewhere inexpensive to stay? I don't want to live in a backpacker dorm, and would really prefer an en-suite bathroom (but am willing to compromise). I need somwhere to stay for a minimum of two weeks, and a maximum of two months if I can't find myself a flat. My room budget is under £20 a day.

Can anyone who's been, or who knows someone who's been, reccommend a good place to stay, or perhaps a hook up with someone who has an apartment? I know it's a long shot, but I'm stepping out into the unknown here and any help would be appreciated.

I don't know much about Namibia but given the looks of the exchange rate, you could probably buy a house and remain within your budget so I really shouldn't worry too much.
