New Year New City

2 years ago after too many depressing NYE parties with the same people in the same place I decided to start travelling solo for the holiday. Anyone else do this?

Last year I was in Phnom Penh which was great becaise it wasn't New Years.

This year it's Boston. So far it's pretty lame. Any suggestions?

Talk about lame, let's mention LA's lack of public celebration - I'm not talking about Giant events or any other events where you gotta pay $80 to get in - I mean more of a general gathering of folks like in New York. I'm sure they DIDN'T pay to stand there. Its seems over here in LA-LA land, the best places are usually private parties things.

No disrespect to Giant though - closing down Hollywood Blvd and bringing in big-name DJs cool too but in the end, I'm just not feeling it. I'm just laying low and hanging with a few close friends.
