Storing Kicks?

I live in a converted loft and thus dont have closets in my apartment. To solve this problem for my clothing I have wardrobes (from Ikea). However, there is not enough storage for the myriad footwear that I have. Ive noticed that if I simply leave my kicks out they get dusty and dirty (I live in Brookly).

My question is: If I store my sneaks in a rubbermaid trunk, like the one the baby is in here: bin_explorer.jpg do I need to ventilate it somehow? Should I use cedar? Something to absorb any possible moisture? Some other method all together?

thanks

A little OT, but my nephew had PJ's just like that, he just grew out of them.

Sorry, I have a baby thing

But rubbermaid containers should work with the silica, or drill a few holes in the side

Don't you hate in when you're in a line and there's that guy like right behind you and you can feel him almost touching you, hovering near you, in your personal space and all you want to do is turn around and scream, "move three feet back before I beat you," but you don't? They'd put you in a strait jacket if you did, and it is soooo hard to find a pair of shoes that match those.

think you should just get a simple work shelf and stack your shoeboxes containing shoes. nice and simple.

btw the nephew's butt is pretty big.
