My T-Shirts... For real this time

Recommended Posts

So If you saw yesterday I was playing with the of making some and selling some t-shirts here...http://superfuture.com/city/supertalk/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=10458 and I have the opportunity to potenitally recieve a $1500 grant as well as $1500 for sucessful completion of the program. I have put together a rough business plan, and I value the opinions of a bunch of you and the opinions of superufutre as a whole, and since there are a bunch of people in the know here I hope I can get some sound advice, and maybe some good ideas. I won't use too many ideas from yesterdays thread, but I am in talks for rights to use some mugshot photos now.

I wrote up this business plan (below) this morning and don't really know what I'm doing so give me some feedback please.

For the appendix I will obviously attach some shirt samples, perhaps a list of potential retailers/suppliers/printers and I want to get some market reasearch.

I know, everybody and their grandmothers have a wack t-shirt line out there, but this is just a summer thing and I have a good opportunity with the grant.

I'm thinking of contacting some photographers (maybe the cobrasnake?) to put some photos on a shirt.

How do I go about getting my stuff on Dig. Gravel etc. or in Retail locations?

So any tips on this whole venture, let me have it. Thanks in advance.

I like the idea. It looks like a good business plan write-up. I thought about doing something like that for a grant at my college, but I found out about it too late. Even if it doesn't work out, at least you will get the experience... and hey, it wouldn't be your money anyway. Go for it, man.

Thanks, I hope it works out... and being that its' on the grant I can take more risk than I would on my own.

Anyone know how pictures are printed on shirts and how much more they are than screen printing? What about all over prints or metallic ink?

Any help with any of the issues I presented in the first post would be great too.

You don't have to even read the whole (or any of the) plan, it's pretty long.
