Yes, after heavy use the material gets oily and develops a slight sheen. I work for A.P.C. They're fantastic jeans, if this is truly the first run of them, they are indeed dead stock Dior fabric. Not made by Dior though...sorry to break up da party! They wear in very nicely. Hope this helps.
