fred perry authenticity

i've heard from several places that fred perry is no longer made in england - is this true? i have seen polos and jackets with tags inside saying made in portugal, macau and england all recently in stores.

TO my knowledge they are made in portugal and england. Mines made in UK, i think theres a slight difference in the collar between the ones made in uk and portugal.

Different manufacturing batches, but the England ones tend to have way better fit and quality

i find the small in the english made FP doesn't fit as nice as the XS in my CDG FP, which are made in portugal,

you will notice that i did have to size down though.

different ranges are made in different places, and have different sizes and fits.

classics are slightly bigger than tailored etc.

tailorede sports is made in italy, and the rest us made in portugal as far as i know...

Most of the FP garments you can buy here in Italy are made by a little atelier near Biella or by a tailor from Salerno. They both have a seriously good quality, comparable with the MIE ones. I've never seen MIP, tho.

If you're from the US... check out saks fifth and nordstroms, they have them there from time to time.

It may be lame, but OU has them online and in store.Oddly I recall their button up FP shirts being made in China... never saw that before.

There's actually a British website that had size XS for $100 a polo, anybody got that link?
