Julius FW2009 277COM10 Wrap Coat in black/size 3

Same deal as the above coat with the crazy comfortable fabric, but this one is cut like wrap cardigans and is thus not unlike wrapping yourself in a big sleeping bag. Two internal snap buttons help keep the inner layer in place and two outer buttons hold up the outer. As you can imagine, there are quite a few styling combinations possible. Not a lot of stores picked this one up and size 3 in Julius is hard to find in Japan to begin with, so this is a rare opportunity.

The chest size I think is suitable for anyone, but the shoulders will be what restricts it from being a true free size garment. Again, I think this is best suited for a 46-48.

Viridi-anne SS09 3-button linen/cotton/silk blazer charcoal/washed black/size 4

Beautifully constructed and styled blazer made from a 48% linen/41% cotton/11% silk blend with comfortable perforated cupro lining. After construction, the jackets went through a washing treatment which results in a nice texturized and imperfect look. The color is a very deep charcoal shade, or like a washed black. Canvassed construction, single vent, antiqued metal buttons, etc. Tons of very functional pockets; I remember the designer explained that he doesn't like bags so he put many pockets inside this jacket; the two larger internal pockets are meant to be able to fit "a book or sandwich."

Great sporty springtime jacket. Outer layer is a lightweight waxy-feeling cotton and inner layer is cupro; both the body lining and complete outer layer have perforated detailing, making it very comfortable and airy for the warmer months. Double riri zips, two large inner pockets and two external.

DRAPERY

These are the by-now-signature draped cardigans which have really driven Julius's look. Most commonly worn under a jacket or coat to add volume, they look also great worn alone. Seriously endless possibilities. I have two that I wear very often myself.

A pre-emptive note on sizing: These are all size 2 (46) but, unless you have terribly muscular upper arms, should be able to fit anyone from some tiny size up to a 48. The sleeveless ones should be able to fit even larger and I consider those to be pretty much "free size." I am about 5'11", 120lb, size 1 in most Julius, and find little difference for myself between sizes 1 and 2.

All variations are very unisex, but I think the sleeveless ones look especially great on girls.

I am not going to measure these because it is pretty useless. Just trust what I say above.

Julius FW2009 277CUM1 Combo Wrap black/size 2 -- sold

Starting things off is a very special variation that was featured in a couple runway looks. Due to the leather trim and zip-closure, this one is different than any of the other wraps, although keeping the general idea. The leather trim gives it a really unique weight which drapes very elegantly and the zipper allows it to be held in positions which the others cannot.

Fabric is an absurdly soft 90% rayon/20% cashmere blend with leather trim along the front portion, up over what would be the collar, and at the cuffs. Zipper goes about halfway down, with a snap closure at the very top and snaps at the cuffs to adjust the cuff width.

Seriously unique piece.

Julius SS2009 257CUM47 Sleeveless Drape in black/size 2

Reeeally really nice and unique fabric. I have this same thing in the long-sleeve version and totally love it. The fabric is a very nubby waffle cotton that can be worn in absolutely any season. I wore mine through hot and humid Japanese summer and then also in snowy Korean winter. The fabric is surprisingly airy and acts practically as a big towel; great to wrap yourself in when traveling through miserable humid conditions. Color is a washed out black.

This fabric is definitely the most ideal for hot conditions. Super light and flowing, made from a breathable modal silk jersey (85% modal/15% silk). Just as nice as you would expect.
