opening ceremony

just picked up this hoodie at a store here and was wondering if anyone new more about the label opening ceremony. all they had were these hoodies.

what little info i can gather is that it is a label that employs new designers and releases their work under the label. still would like to know more about who's involed, etc.

yeah. it's pretty sweet. "topshop" is upstairs. they had an excellent sample sale a few months ago. they sell expensive clothes. their clothes are nice.

I've been. Opening Ceremony is a great store, one of my favorite in NYC, and has a very nice line of stylish basics. The concept is each year they pick one country and feature designers from that country, mixed with some New York designers. They focus on up-and-coming, often avant-garde designers and produce their own line of basics to complement but not compete with the lines in the store.

I have that exact same hoodie except in green and white...and i always get compliments on it...except for the time a guy called me a power ranger but he was dealt with swiftly

Philip Green (topshop) owner was in our office the other week and he was saying he is thinking of opening a topshop in NY and is looking for a good location at the moment. keep your eyes peeled

The Topshop they've got are the 'premium line" if im not mistaken called Topshop limited or something, which translates to more dressier pieces, leather jackets, coats not the more mass market teenybopper neon pop collection.
