Would anybody care to share their experiences in regards to speaking with and or presenting to buyers for department stores or even boutiques? Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

you pretty much just have to confident in your product and have things to show, and just tell them about your product in detail, and take your time, but not sweet ass time, just be detail and thats pretty much it, and if you are doing shows , its good to offer them some refreshment as well, consider they be walking around all day

Much appreciated. As far as getting the contacts, would you suggest just calling offices and asking for the buyers, or is there a secret to getting this info. I know I have to do my own homework but I could use a little bit of a shove in the right direction. Thanks again for your help.

well no, i mean call the stores and be friendly, some times you will hit nails and shit, but its all in good spirits, what i would do is just call up the stores and introduce yourself and explain your motive, and one of the key thing is be cool, like talking to your good friends and stuff, and get their interest, and like i say if you are doing show, ask them if they will attend the shows or not, and if they are ask them if you could book a appointment and if not maybe send them some photos or brochure. and tell them kkep in touch and tell them you will keep them update. but one of the main thing is dont irritate them and know when to take hints, if they are not intrested just tell them thanks for their time and you call back next season.

but in the beginning, it might be tough, but you will get the hand of it. my first experience was at magic 4 years ago, t was fun.

i mena if you want to sell to the big player like bllomindale, search for the HQ and call them and ask for the distric buyer, cause they go buy distric like north west south east that sort of shit.......
