Just wanted to know if anyone has info on best places to find clothing/kicks/cool toys in Hong Kong. I have heard about Mong Kok, the Sino Center in Yau Ma Tai and a few places in King Wah center - if these places are a bust, please tell me... Basically looking for area's similar to the back ally's of Harajuku in Tokyo (if there is anything close to that) - with interesting local designers & hole in the wall stores ect... Im going to be there for x-mas for only a few days & any info would cool.

Thanx

kinda a lame review but it gives you some maps...they're in chinese tho

all this is in the causeway bay district.

<-- for this part look for the starbucks close to the "lee thearter building" or "lee garden buidling"...ask around and you'll find it.

walk down some stairs next to the starbucks...it'll lead you to a basement shop Labinnah. (don't bother looking for a storefront..)

check Labinnah store for some Revolver gear..they're doing a special thing there for one month only.

by the way "overheads" does not exist no more.

<-- find the porter/kurachika store in sogo third flr

hit some of those malls on the map...but dun expect too much.

<-- the street behind sogo.

all the shops here are not on the street level. normally on second or third flrs of old residential buildings.

check medium rare, 852, nano, homegrowth

for bal, devilock, haze, homless etc.

there're like 10 of these shops at least in the area. ask brian at 852, maybe he can help you out.

this is behind a huge complex called "time square"

stussy official store stashed on second floor in this area...but dun bother if you live in the states.

huge design books store PAGE ONE on B1/F of times square

also check Tsim Sha Tsui district..

you'll probably find everything chaotic in HK...gd luck on your trip
