almost any label? then why are they so difficult to find. I looked all fall for the dries van noten ones and never found any stores with them in stock. What are some other nice brands that have them available now?

Look for Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake. I've seen lots of solid colored cardigans from them, although they may not be black.

My workplace stocks loads of cardigans, and I'm sure any fashion label have done them in the past.

APC has a basic black button up cardigan. Although the material doesn't feel so nice (i don't remember exactly what it was, i think it was cotton or perhaps a blend of some sort, not that soft the the touch)...but it fits the style you're looking for so I'd go check that out.

Goto Express, they are having a huge 80% off sale. I picked up a black zip up cardigan for 15 bucks. Their clothing is pretty slim. Im a skinny guy and I washed both in warm water and dried it on high and it shrunk just enough to fit perfect.
