San Francisco or San Jose

So I found an internship at Yahoo for this summer, and I am wondering if I should live in San Francisco or the Sunnyvale/SJ area. Yahoo provides a shuttle bus from SF to Sunnyvale but it takes 1:30 hour each way. I have about 750 dollars housing stipend, so what area should I live if I was in SF that can fit this budget. I have 3 other interns who might be interested in finding a sublet with me.

You cannot really afford a decent place in san francisco for 750 to be honest. my measly studio in the mission is 1500, if you want to do craigslist you might find alright places from 800-1100 with a couple of roommates.

when looking on craigslist check out listing by neighborhood, you'll be best off looking for places in: the mission, hayes valley, lower haight, or soma.
