What's a good amount of samples to make for a start up Denim company?

I'm starting a denim line and I'm looking to see what's a good amount of jeans to produce in order to get my foot in the door. I'm thinking about 100 units, but I could be off.....

They're in the hands of my seamstress at the moment. I'm just looking for a ball park amount of samples one should start out with. She's already made 4 pre-samples in total, but now it's time to make a fair amount for show-n-tell, photo shoots, and other media projects.

Perhaps post pics up when you've got them from the seamstress. Maybe you'd find areas to improve the pair of jeans after the comments given by the rest of the members.
