Showroom questions

Can anyone in the clothing biz shed some light on how one would go about getting into a showroom or finding an independent rep?

I worked in Nike's showroom in L.A. Basically you are going to want to get in touch with the company's entertainment marketing branch. I am sure they will give you the number if you call corporate. As far as getting in, you either have to own a store that they are interested in working for, be a celebrity, or work in entertainment...........not quite sure what you are trying to ask though? What is the reason that you want to "get into the showroom"??

I meant any insight on how to get a new line into a showroom so that showroom can handle sales.

check the boards @ http://www.thefashionspot.com. There's some pretty usefull info from people who run showrooms. General opinion is you have to have a HOT line already. Be prepared to pay a hefty commission/representation fee too.
