StreetWear in L.A.

Can any of you LA locals recommend some good streetwear stores?

From NY and in LA for the week... checked out some spots reviewed on this site.

I dont want to waste my trip here by only visiting a few spots

(I found some easy ones: sit.normal, union, undefeat, supreme)

oh i didnt know that XLARGE counts--> there used to be one on Vermont near Sunset, theres an AA right there too.

la doesnt really have much besides the stores listed. greyone in pasadena....but thats north. la is good for partying, not clothes. you could hit up fred siegel.....some stuff in there every once in a while is worth it.

yeah, its real odd the closest thing LA has to streetware are the above mentioned stores. you have to remember this is where surf culture reigns.

As far as the Subway goes, it will not get you anywhere, is expensive, and is a huge hassle. If you come to L.A. you absolutely need to rent a car.

Some good recommendations, and nice to see people helping, but honestly, if you are from NY, you can absolutely skip more than 3/4 of the recommendations above, the majority of them are mediocre skate/shoe shops, with the exception of UNDFTD and Barracuda, and Union (even though there is already one in NY). Fred Segal in Santa Monica is ok too, the shoe store Conveyor is inside it, its worth checking out, they are very nice guys. Greyone is good, but far away..........Just go to Melrose for shopping, Main St. in Venice has some good bars/restaurants and Holy Guacamole! which has fucking good tacos ........then go out on Sunset at night. If you need some addresses, I can help you out but I am going to look on the internet for them just like you are, but feel free to ask anyways..........I'm glad to help
