LVC: Made in USA vs Made in Japan

How do they compare in terms of denim quality and construction?

I have a pair of LVC USA '47, and I am not terribly impressed with the quality.

I am wondering if the LVC Japan '47 made under license by Edwin are any better.

Please share your experiences. Thanks in advance.

I like some jp LVC better than US LVC. Didnt spend that much time looking at the 47, they're fairly similar, but the jp 47 might have a tad nicer denim, cant clearly recall.

I'd hate to put more fuel on for the 'everything is better in japan' myth, but some year are better.

I prefer the 37 and 44 here.

55 and 66 seem to be very similar.
