Question... tie and denim...

i'm going to a wedding today. wearing a tie with some nice denim.

if i do this, what kind of shoes can i get away with? i don't know whether i'm needing more dressy shoes because i'm wearing a tie, or if i can go casual because i'm wearing denim.

the only thing besides dunks that i wear are desert boots. am i going to need to run out and get shoes before?

If you're going to a wedding where the majority of people will not be in denim then yes you need dress shoes - nice leather brown ones would be my rec. If you're going to hickville US - your mileage may vary.

why don't you just wear slacks or something? are you too trendy and rebellious for khakis?

it's not a question, you're going to a formal event and you're dressing it down with denim, at this point, sneakers arent an option (nor would I ever think they would be considering the look you are looking for)

definitely wear a nice pear of oxfords, brown or black.
