From what I understand, even though they got so much press and awards, backers didn't come flocking. Coupled with the growing prices (where basics like blazers reached almost Dior homme prices, many of my friends would rather spend money on Hedi than Cloak), the cost of running a new store I think this all contributed to it shutting down.
