Leather jacket repair

So earlier in the year I managed to tear my beloved leather ninja to pieces which would be fine, apart from now it's getting colder and I need to wear it again.

Question. How to repair it? :

All suggestions are welcome and I'm fully embracing recession chic so you can

be creative if you want.

same question for me but mine is just a small tear nowhere near as bad as syb's

just want to repair it so it does not grow into a even larger tear

a cobbler should be able to fix both, what I believe they can do with leather is apply a patch on the backside that holds it together. I'm guessing that in sybaritical's case the tear will remain somewhat visible, the latter one should be possible to get repaired so that you can hardly see it.

Arlee's would benefit from just a small piece of leather on the backside,

Syb's could do with the same, but the would have to open the lining for it, plus it will still be visible, I'd say embrace it and have someone handstitch it close on top of a reinforcement piece of leather.

That's what I was planning on doing ... opening up the lining behind the zipper, placing a patch underneath the injury and then fixing it with adhesive. Did the same thing with a tear on the sleeve, though it wasn't as bad as this ...
