i would say tommy's is mainstream, and so is in n out.

i go for old times, tom's, tacos el torro and other spots that i can't remember.

when i think of mainstream i think nationwide etc. in n out is still pretty much a socal CA thing even though there are a few out of state...but still those are close by.
