And I wonder when is the sales going to start in N.Y.C....I heard that it's after the Boxing Day...Is it true?

Where is the best place to get jeans?I mean like the Japanese one...

Hello--

Sales should be going on throughout the month...it is usually pretty promotional before the Christmas holiday. Unfortunately, the best deals are mainly in January, when stores are clearing out Fall merchandise and making room for Spring stuff...

go to a newstand and buy a copy of timeout, an ny magazine.

there's a section on current sample sales. that's your best bet if you're visiting.

sales start in nyc the day after thanks giving and go all the way through and after xmas. so if you're coming after xmas thats good but before is also totally cool.

for japanese jeans like evisu there are three stores in manhattan that i can suggest.

prohibit nyc/ c. ronson

elizabeth street , between houston & prince.

the vice magazine store

lafayette street, between prince & spring.

atrium

broadway, on the corner of bleecker.

of course other places like barneys have evisu, but for sizing i would recommend the first three. the vice store is almost totally evisu. strangely enough, the evisu genes that you can buy at the evisuya tailor shop in daikanayama, you will never find in america. i've been told that evisu markets their clothing based on location, so european evisu will never have what american evisu has...etc. very smart on their part, because you create an illusion of exclusivity. that's why evisu freaks like me hunt down this stuff everywhere. have fun in nyc.:)P

why let the jeans come to you, when you can go to the jeans?

at least, that is how jay-z does it.

he goes to tokyo to buy evisu.

he has been spotted a few times buying up big in the tokyo evisu store.
