winter's coming up and the snow will soon fall. right now I dont really have anything appropriate for handling these conditions. I go to college so I do a lot of damn walking. I kind of hate boots so I was wondering if there were any skinny chuck-taylor-esque high-mid tops that are comfortable and maybe a bit warmer; and wont be destroyed in the snow.

Haha, I am also a student at Madison and have basically had the same problem you have. Last year I bought a pair of those "shepra" chuck taylors:

Now i know they're not white, and certainly not everyones cup of tea, but hey they're super warm. Just go check out Jacks Shoes on state street - they have a pretty big selection of Chuck Taylors.

Good Luck!
