I sold someething for $315.87 two weeks ago. The guy opened a dispute today that said that the item was not as described because I forgot a few things. Which isn't a big deal. Im just going to ship those out tuesday.

Im just wondering. I have a negative balance right now because paypal took the 315 out of my account and I only had 200 in there. Will paypal ever taking the remaining balance out of my bank account (im verified)? If so how long do I have? If not do they just close my account after a while?

no it just stays negative. they can't take money out your bank account unless you authorize it. after awhile they will start calling you to get that negative balance back. sooner or later they sell the debt to a collection agency. probably around 6-9 months of a negative balance.

but don't worry, item not as described disputes are always very hard to prove on the buyers end. As long as you ship out the things you forgot, they'll prolly close it on their own anyway.

call your bank and tell them that paypal fucked up not you and you should get your $35 back if you bank is nice. then contact the buyer and tell him whats up and if he says no then get him to ship your stuff back - dude cant get his money back AND keep your shit.

i've heard this both ways from many different people. are there certain conditions where paypal can take your money or can they always take it?

A similar thing happened to me. Paypal will charge your bank account if you don't have a sufficient balance in your account. I would be very interested to hear if your bank account will credit everything back to you if you open a dispute with them.
